ummm....dude, think you mighta only broken your screen, look up what an lcd screen looks like when cracked. and as for viruses, find an rgb cable or video output cable compatible with your laptop and connect it to a monitor to run diagnostics on that temporarily if it's still a concern

I don't know what you are trying to do. If you are going to throw the laptop out, then smashing the hard drive will work. If you are going to repair it, look up "deriks boot and nuke" to erase the hard drive
