and the movie was meh anyway. i prefer the classics where it took actual skill to create good movies (and they did it with humane budgets too)

A movie without any budget, may be shabby, but remembered as funny, touching, visionary, epic...
Avatar was just money. Special effects alone don't give any value to a movie. Don't make it memorable. There's no special merit in being able to buy the most expensive toys. The movie lacked imagination or innovation beyond the special effects, excruxiatingly boring... If it exceled in something, it was at plagiarism.

I want you to go back and watch Pocahontas. Then Avatar. Then a side by side. There are elements from Pocahontas that avatar derives, but it's not downright plagiarism.

the movie itself was no masterpiece, but enjoyable on the big screen
i was entertainted by the cool world the movie created, not so much by the movie itself.... BUT i was entertained
