So I have been in the army a couple years now and only have been at one duty station. And for the longest time this has been upstairs sitting in my platoon sergeant's cubicle. We have asked everyone in our company so far and are working our way through other batallions but alas no one has any sold ideas. So please assist us in our quest for answers. Handle is wooden and the brown part is a porous stone.

an old wooden stake hammer. The stone is softer so it doesnt **** up the stakes as much as a metal hammer, but, its not as soft as a wooden one so it would last a lot longer.

It's used to rub dry skin off your body. Mostly used on feet.

Could be a makeshift stick grenade training dummy of some sorts, either that or as everyone else said, some kind of old sharpening stone.

I've been in for 3 years, and have never seen one either. anonomon is probably right, it was most likely a sharpening stone for bayonets, when they were still used.

most likely it could be a sharpening stone for a straight edge razor

My guess is a makeshift hammer or something. Either that or you CO's into some nasty ****. Because that could be a weight at the bottom to hold it in place while he sits on it like a dildo or something. Or it could be both.

either a metal dildo, or a hammer.

Both options have been considered but the black parts of the handle are wooden and the brown is like a sanding stone or a porous like material.
