It's sad that a large chunk of the thumbs on this content probably came from people who don't get the joke and just thumbed it up because they thought it was making fun of Europe and not America

;/ Not necessarily, there is a significant anti American faction in Funnyjunk.
Think the statistics said there are plenty of cum guzzling Eurofags to go around.

This could have been thumbed up by them, as clearly other anti-American content has been.

There are plenty of "eurofags" on this site, but they are by far the minority. Same thing with the atheism on FJ. There are plenty of atheists on this site, but they are still the minority. This was most likely thumbed up because it was a clever joke and the reason i listed above, not just because it was making fun america. Content that is just anti-america rarely makes FP outside of 9/11.

Oh I agree, the number of atheists and Euros are low in Funnyjunk in comparison with Americans and theists. My point was that they still constitute a large enough demographic to launch something to the frontpage.

Also most funnyjunkers won't thumb up an anti-anything post (unless its feminism or something political) and if you take the assumption that Americans didn't get it, you just end up with an "I hate Europe" poster, hardly funny.

The most likely probability is that Euros along with other people thumbed this up.

That is totally sad. I guess the people that thumbed it up because it was making fun of Europe think that Europe is a country.
