I did a report on the Ku Klux Klan of the 1920's. Birth of a Nation was actually a huge propaganda tool. It got people hyped about joining the Klan and hating **** . It was also one of the first successful Hollywood blockbusters. The president even had his own private screening of it in the white house.

inb4 who the hell cares
TL;DR I learned **** in school.

I think the film your referring to in the description is Birth of a Nation. It was made in 1915 and was actually very successful and went on to influence Apocalypse Now and I believe even inspired Tarentino to make Django Unchained.

Some kid showed up to my school last year in a white bed sheet and a pointed white hat under the sheet on his head like a KKK member... He told people he was Casper the Ghost.
