You either believe that
A) you should strive to be like the virtuous individual
B) you should do things that bring about the most pleasure and least amount of pain
C) you should act in such a way that if everybody acted that way all the time, the act would benefit humankind.

That was the most concise ethics course I have ever given. (I am an ethicist who teaches at a college).

Believing that God gives you morals doesn't change any of that, it just means that you believe God picked one of those three and tells you to do it. Atheists just remove the middle man.

You could just think of it as God's will in everyone, regardless of whether the person chooses to acknowledge his existence.

so am i but not too religious i mean if i do good i feel good, if i do bad i feel bad, and that's my thoughts
if you dont know murder is bad you are a ******* i mean you are taught right from wrong its not hard to tell
