i know im probably going to get thumbed down for this but i found a garbage bag full of this stuff [ originally in ball form untill i cut it in half] and i dont know what it is im wondering if its a drug or something idk can anyone out there help? more in comments.

EDIT~~im 100% its not a rock it is some kind of drug.
it smells like gasoline looks like a coco puff and on the inside it looks burnt. also it crumbles and what not..

it's a type of volcanic rock called pumice, it's used in gardens to help prevent weeds from sprouting through and retain water in the soil for the plants. the reason you found a bag of it was probably because they had too much for their garden and decided to get rid to the rest.. pumice is created when super-heated, highly pressurized rock is violently ejected from a volcano. The unusual foamy configuration of pumice happens because of simultaneous rapid cooling and rapid de-pressurization. The de-pressurization creates bubbles by lowering the solubility of gases (including water and CO2) that are dissolved in the lava, causing the gases to rapidly ex-solve (like the bubbles of CO2 that appear when a carbonated drink is opened). The simultaneous cooling and de-pressurization freezes the bubbles in the matrix.

You'd be surprised by what some rocks are like. Rocks tend not to ignite and with enough air pockets in them, it's entirely possible that they can look like a cocoa puff and crumble easily.

Not sure about the smell though. Could just be something on them.
