As if they need ******* guns to bring down tyranny on you people, conrgress ***** over the general population on a dialy basis, not to mention that the entire arguement is that you're convinced that the goverment is big and evil and out to ******* get you, I mean why the **** would you live in a nation where you are so ******* sure that the goverment is in the process of a coup to bring forth decades of tyranny?

That and the arguement says that each citizen should also have tanks, drones with hellfire missiles and nukes to even the scores, yes the goverment got ******* guns, but the military is supposed to protect you, if you got no army and no guns on the entire civilization because you assholes couldn't trust each other for five damn seconds, you're free for grabs by anyone else tyrannical.

That and not all soldiers are brainwashed and ready to open fire on it's own civilian population.

The military doesn't protect us from the common criminal or psychopath who might break into our homes, and the supreme court the police don't even have to do that.

No politician or anyone else has the right to tell me what I need to defend my home and loved ones.

>Your whole argument is *strawman*

No, the whole argument is that the constitution says that gun ownership is a God-given right. That should be the end of the story, but the media, politicians (and you) paint those that stand up for gun rights as paranoid lunatics.

The question is if someone with a bigger gun than you tells you that you can't have your gun because it's dangerous, you should question their motives. It's not just suspicious, it's hypocritical, condescending, and it violates what the constitution declares is a basic human right.

The purpose of the constitution is is to limit the power of government by stating what it is allowed to do with everything beyond that off limits. It was considered so necessary to the survival of the country, however, to protect certain rights that the founding fathers went out of their way and wrote the Bill of Rights to specifically call out certain rights that can never be infringed upon. The right to bear arms is one of those rights.

Oh yeah cause this ''God'' once said ''And let there be guns''

Weapons are a human right, what weapons are we limited to then? Or does every single human being have the right to every weapon in creation, in theory if it was a human right, then small children should not have their human rights limited and should be given guns from the get go.

And while the constitution can be good for a compas, you're betting the ''mightiest'' nation on earth that these men were right about everything goverment from the get go, and if so they should be celebrated as saints all over the world, first try, figured everything in politics out in one shot.

Somethings are good and some could be a bit more defined and somethings needs changing, the constitution is not flawless, it can be wrong and should thusly be corrected.

In theory, the jews after the tyranny of hitler should make sure everyone got right to an oven, cause only a good guy with an oven, can stop a bad guy with an oven.

-You're nitpicking. The point is that these rights are inherent to our being human and don't come from government.
-No one is saying that children should be given guns. You are being intellectually dishonest. It's possible to hold the assertion that the right to bear arms is God given, yet children should not have that right. Children are exempt from many such rights.
-The whole point of the Constitution is limiting the power of the government. If you don't like it, you can either leave or attempt to pass an amendment to the constitution. The government can't just say "The founding fathers were wrong so we will do what we want in spite of the fact that it violates the constitution."

It is the job of politicians to uphold the constitution. If they want to change the constitution, there are ways to do it with checks and balances. If a politician, DJ 4DM1Nistration, or political party says that they want to bypass all that to pass their agenda, that is suspicious. Why not do it legitmately?

Do you want to explain what occupy wallstreet is all about? As far as I can see, it's a bunch of people pissed off wanting more money.
User avatar #273 to #214 - smokerocks (04/23/2013) [-]
No, it's about holding the bankers and investors on Wall street accountable for causing the economic collapse in 2008, and making people aware of just how much influence those on Wall Street have over our government.
