are you retarded?

If this even happened, the only thing that decides who's right is which country's airspace the american was in.

Why the **** would they say that he was in Iranian airspace if he wasnt? inb4 "why would he say he was in Iraqi airspace" The chance of the Iranian air defence not knowing their borders or having radar problem is probably quite alot lower than a US pilot accidentially entering Iranian airspace

yes in this instance the iranians are right or do you think a ******* jet can fly trough every airspace without getting shot down?

well... i mean... okay: hold on.

Yes, if he flew through their airspace, he's at fault, but in this post, the argument is "is he in airspace A or B?" He believes he's in one, they believe he's in another.... there's not enough evidence here to know for sure

i think the recrutment program of the us airforce is good enough to find people who will know where the **** they are i mean sometimes jets can only fly in small corridors so a certain set of skills should be given...

you again assume that the iranians are right. We don't know where he is! what if they saw a blip on radar flying over debated air, or right on the border? Maybe he knows where he is, and the iranians disagree?

it's not just that he has a better "war machine" it's the fact that he's from the United States.. so he knows that if they do anything to him, they're pretty much ******.

There is a difference between collateral damage and deliberately invading the airspace of a hostile country against orders.

You're both missing the point and making an assumption. The point was, us troops don't get court-martialed for anything except going against the orders of their superiors and you're making an assumption that him invading Iranian airspace was against orders.

Truth is, there is no evidence to support neither my claims nor yours but mine can be backed by history if you choose to look at all the crap that the U.S has pulled in the past.
