feminists can't express their feeling of oppression if they're dead.

I hope you realize that not all feminists are like these? The women in the story are more like Feminazis, which is different from a normal feminist, who doesn't want equality or women superiority, just the "go back to the kitchen" jokes to end.

nah, I know that. for me, a feminist fights for equal rights. a Feminazi is just a whore who wants to exterminate all men. I'm pretty sure a real feminist would know the difference and agree.

I think he may have gone a bit too far in some parts, but so did the teacher. True, male dominated society has existed predominately because they possessed superior physical strength. However, as far as requirements go, I think that many woman can do a good amount physical labor as well. Believe me, there were plenty of scrawny ass guys in history that you'll never hear about because they were just thrown to the dogs in society. I think most if it is due to gender roles; since women weren't expected to do much physical labor, they never built up any muscle. Alternatively, men were expected to do most of the labor, and they built greater stamina and strength.

But in so far as woman willing to give up a superior role? Well, that's difficult to say. We only really see the extremes in history texts, and we can clearly see horrid cases of forced prostitution, rape, woman being sold as sex slaves or objects, having marriages arranged for them (though this was often done for men as well, men were more likely to have influence in their marriage and be able to say whether or not they'd want a divorce or something along those lines.) Granted, men didn't have it easy either. No one did back then. But women were expected to basically live their entire lives without going to school, then go get married at a very young age to a person they had probably never met before, pump out as many kids as possible, then support the oldest male child. I would say that the females had the short end of the stick there. I have to say though, neither the student not the teacher handled this situation properly. I do think that many women could do the work he stated, and I hardly believe that, even if they couldn't, they wanted to live like they did. However, the teacher was out of hand. Classrooms are about discussion and unless a kid is just being an ass, you should let him/her speak. And what the **** did being white have to do with it?

I think both the student and teacher handled the situation poorly. I don't think that women necessarily desired the societal roles they were given, but I also know that men are born more physically adept.

Sure there where many women who were stronger than men, but still, there were more strong men, and not only because women weren't expected too, but because of the genetic difference between men and women. Don't get me wrong, there was a huge oppression, and i'm against any kind of oppression, but it came from the animal nature of the human race. In the animal kingdom the "oppressing" gender is the one with the greater physical strengh. Now, every decade, year, month or day, we humans grow more appart of this savage way of thinking, and base our society on science and equal rights, but it can't happen all at once, it needs time.

BTW the 2 biggest things you can be oppressed for in most part of the world are skin colour(pic related) and gender, being a white male is in fact helpful, it shouldn't be, but it is... whether we like it or not.

I do realize there is a genetic difference, but it alone wasn't the cause of their lesser role in society. As you stated, women were oppressed, and it was this genetic predisposition along with their oppression that led to this role. And I agree. No one, regardless of sex, race, religion, or anything along those lines, should ever be oppressed for how they were born. People should only be judged on their actions, not the way they were born.

The thing is: the dude is right. I mean... he is. There's nothing wrog with what he said. But it's nothing more than a fact that some women still get viciously opressed and are treated as inferior even in some of today's societies.
The story could not have unfolded as he told. This is obviously BS. Either that or the whole ******* school hates his ass. I mean: not only the teacher does not think properly, but so do his classmates and the assistant principal. Just ******* ********.

hmm that comment's funny because everyone else commenting is blindly agreeing with the guy. Every story has two points of view. Although I agree with the guy for the most part and think it's wrong the he was punished for expressing his view and found it really retarded that the dyke said "white males don't know hardship and your views invalid" When the fact that actual racism and sexism is the lowest it's ever been and that she and every other asshole in that room has pretty much the same amount of freedom is something to be angered about. Women have been oppressed throughout history but so have males so there both right I guess. The teacher and the guy not the dyke bitch and all the girls and faggots agreeing with her.

Couldn't agree more, once in 2nd grade I corrected my teacher's spelling of pharaoh and she told me I was wrong so the whole class agreed and laughed at me. I got mad and got up to the front of the class, she told me to sit down but I wouldn't, I got a dictionary and found the word as she was calling the principal. Turned out I was right but I still had to go to the principal's office and spend recess inside. I never forgave her and I never will.

Instead of an apology note, he should write a note explaining how his argument was valid.
