Why in the hell are people comfortable with this police state, with hundreds of men carrying and hoping to use ACTUAL assault rifles, but don't want to allow their fellow civilian citizens to be allowed to even own semi-automatic versions of these? Insanity.
User avatar #82 to #7 - imthepunkkid (04/20/2013) [-]
But we are allowed to own semi auto versions.

**** in some states you can have full auto with the right weapons license.
However to get that license it cost a **** ton of money, You have to go through a psychological evaluation like 3 times a year(That is good) And you have to be trained with each individual weapon you buy
User avatar #77 to #7 - dabombmanater (04/20/2013) [-]
Usually i'd agree with something like this but they're after a killer. It's all temporary. Look up the G20 summit in Canada, 2010. The police were beating and arresting guys in wheelchairs and they weren't after killers or anything like that.
#40 to #7 - darthblam (04/20/2013) [-]
I bet you think the bombing was an inside job, too.
User avatar #103 to #40 - therealtjthemedic (04/20/2013) [-]
Men must be free to do what they believe. It is not our right to punish one for thinking what they do, no matter how much we disagree.
That guy in the pic is cool.
He believes in some 'greater force' that governs the events around him.
He preaches it.
Do Christians get laughed at for believing in a greater power? Nope.
User avatar #117 to #103 - darthblam (04/20/2013) [-]
I don't even know or care who he is.
I didn't make this picture.

It may not be our right to punish, but that doesn't mean we can't.
Don't act like there isn't a wrong when it comes to a belief that ignores all shown facts that prove it's false.

And, how long have you been on the internet? Christians are laughed at daily here, bud. The only reason it's not more public is because it's a several hundred year old religion based off of ancient texts that were forced upon primitive, ignorant men and run by kings.

Don't compare old religions to the beliefs of government-hating conspiracy theorists
User avatar #120 to #117 - therealtjthemedic (04/20/2013) [-]
In a hundred years, conspiracy will be an old religion based on age old .txt files forced on primitive humans.
Whatever, just don't go all haiti on conspiracy theorists. I know some, they're cool guys.
User avatar #96 to #40 - thedutchs (04/20/2013) [-]
I don't agree with the guy but what you just said was total ******** .

Him: "America is a police state. The authorities own automatic weapons and others are not allowed to. Everyone should have automatic weapons."

You: "He must believe that the government blew up the twintowers."

Perhaps it takes a smarter man than me, but there is no connection between those two.
User avatar #111 to #96 - darthblam (04/20/2013) [-]
It's because people that make claims like what he just did usually fall into the lines of conspiracy theorists.

It's an assumption, sure, but it's one based off of experience
User avatar #162 to #111 - thedutchs (04/20/2013) [-]
Yeah okay. It's a bit like someone who claims to be a feminist is probably biased and expects to get away on the "I'm a woman" ticket.
User avatar #39 to #7 - jackalcureofprusia (04/20/2013) [-]
So long as they didn't go in anyones house without permission, none of this is technically wrong...
User avatar #49 to #39 - douthit (04/20/2013) [-]
I'm sure they did. How else could they find him? The news said they were going house-to-house.
User avatar #79 to #49 - patchesdacrazy (04/20/2013) [-]
And if you actually read some of the reports from witnesses, you'll probably stumble upon a line similar to, "Then an officer came to my door and asked to search the house"

When the ******* National guard is rolling a Humvee down the street, **** has hit the fan, and it should be okay if an officer searches your home. I don't care when the last time it was you tidied up.
User avatar #375 to #79 - douthit (04/20/2013) [-]
It's not about embarrassment because of a dirty house, it's about rights.
#400 to #375 - patchesdacrazy (04/20/2013) [-]
Yeah, that's why they ask the homeowners ******* . They can not enter your home if you tell them to **** off. Every home they enter is under permission of the homeowners. Most homeowners understand that there is a criminal running about, and the whole thing is probably a great deal more personal to Boston-ians as it is happening in their neighborhood. Sure, you could stand there in the door way and say "Go get a warrant." Yeah, its your right. But why the **** not let them? What does it cost you? Time? Maybe they won't wipe their feet?

Your priorities suck.
User avatar #408 to #400 - douthit (04/20/2013) [-]
You're right, we should give up freedom for safety.
User avatar #412 to #408 - patchesdacrazy (04/20/2013) [-]
This isn't a matter of freedom numbnuts... Oh **** it. I realize I am talking to a person who thinks taxes are theft. Sorry to have wasted your time. Don't forget your tinfoil hat.
User avatar #414 to #412 - douthit (04/20/2013) [-]

User avatar #416 to #414 - patchesdacrazy (04/20/2013) [-]

They don't care what you SAY, as long as you keep paying your taxes. Don't resist theft by the state, and they'll usually tolerate you.
#89 to #50 - darthblam (04/20/2013) [-]
Theft by the state... You have no idea what you're talking about do you?

You seriously have no understanding of politics, economics, or how a government works.
User avatar #378 to #89 - douthit (04/20/2013) [-]
It's theft. How does something immoral when done by an individual, become moral when done by a group? It doesn't.
User avatar #388 to #378 - darthblam (04/20/2013) [-]
Again, you have no understanding of economics and how a government works.
User avatar #391 to #388 - douthit (04/20/2013) [-]
Economics and government aren't the same thing. Tell me how something done individually is immoral, but when done collectively becomes moral. It's simply legalized theft.
#394 to #391 - darthblam (04/20/2013) [-]
Except taxes, like thedutchs said below, are used to create state or federal buildings like schools, hospitals, police stations, firehouses, roads.

Without taxes these would be be improperly maintained or not even exist.
User avatar #407 to #394 - douthit (04/20/2013) [-]
So you're saying?

1. Nothing will exist unless government does it.

2. The ends justify the means.
User avatar #415 to #407 - darthblam (04/20/2013) [-]
1. To an extent, you're exaggerating my meaning.
2. In this situation, yes.

Also, have I made it clear that you sound like you have no idea what you're talking about?
The way you keep comparing taxes to robbery is down right stupid, not to mention you act like it's a brand new thing that only the U.S. government does.
User avatar #97 to #89 - thedutchs (04/20/2013) [-]
I'm kind of lost what he means by "theft by the state".

What is he talking about?
User avatar #380 to #97 - douthit (04/20/2013) [-]
User avatar #106 to #97 - darthblam (04/20/2013) [-]
He's claiming that taxes are the government/state stealing from us.
User avatar #164 to #106 - thedutchs (04/20/2013) [-]
Lol. I wish him all the luck of the world in a country with no roads, schools, police, hospitals etc.

also, im pretty damned sure this was the boston bombing incident, in which they were searching for a lunatic with an AUTOMATIC assault rifle

How many of those trained people became trained because the shot pieces of paper though?
(Or wanted to exert power over others. I'm really curious how many people join the police and military because they want to control people.)

Also, if the government does come for you I am absolutely positive that your semiautomatic assault rifle will stop that griffin missile from entering your window and taking out the room you currently occupy after having been guided in from several miles away from a drone flown by a guy all the way across the country from you. Good luck with that.

i dont see why all these SHEEP had to downvote your comment, hell all over the country now little incidents like this are gonna be "happening" and then they're just gonna declare martial law and we'll all be doomed of our rights. Whoever agrees with men packing M4's running around the street because Obama "trusts" them but the people can't then this is totally unfair. People need to wake up and realize what's going on, you can't deny that Hitler Stalin and Mao disarmed everyone before they did what they did. For ****** sakes there isn't even a guy they're looking for, by now we should know that it was the FBI that did it, it was all planned out, family guy even ******* portrayed it 3 WEEKS AGO and if you say it's a coincidence because your beloved Obama and Seth McFarlane say so, then you're one midless retard

actually... you'd be AMAZED at what the army and other branches of the service DON'T look for. i was actually told by my recruiter when i went for basic training to leave out EVERYTHING that looked negative, up to and including stitches, mental disorders, and broken bones, and the only thing you get is a basic physical. these people that you trust to protect you, aren't always who they seem to be, which is why we have soldiers that are shown torturing ******* puppies. they lie to you, they tell you to lie to them, and don't ask don't tell isn't ust limited to who you sleep with in their eyes, it covers EVERYTHING. i left BECAUSE OF THAT **** .
