Actually Ryan Gosling is a moderate feminist so highly unlikely that he said this.
As for the statement, there is a difference between claiming rape when the drunk sex was consensual and claiming rape when a woman could not say yes or no.

If he is truely out to help women be taken more seriously, then i can totally under why he would say this. Because the situation he described is degrading to women.
Basicly you are giving in to the idea that women are delicate little flowers who's judgement cannot be trusted and need special protection from the more powerful men. All cool and dandy if you want to yell rape at everything, but you cant turn around and expect to be taken seriously.
thats why women have to work much harder to get higher up, and into positions of power and authority. Because they have to work their ass off to proof they are not the delicate little flowers who cant take responsibility that society is portraying them to be.

Feminism is not about empowering women. It's about equalizing the genders. On this subject, the current schism is that drunk chicks may claim rape after a drunk one-night stand, while men, while I would not say cannot, do not. A true Feminist would want to either force women to accept their irresponsible actions while drunk a bit more rather than fall back on rape charges after they sober up, or make it more socially acceptable for men to claim rape charges as well, or possibly both.

Feminism is not about equalizing genders. Every single feminist believes that EVERY single unequality between genders is female unequality, and that there is absolutely NO unequalities for men. Even if you bring up stuff like harsher sentences for crimes and less rights as a parent and child support stuff, the smarter feminists will say it's apart of the patriarchy, but retards ie tumblr feminists will just deny it and give no reason and be disgusted that someone even try to argue that men have unequalities

Find a feminist that doesn't believe this. Like seriously this is the base of feminism, it's called patriarchy.

okay.
oh wow! now your entire argument is invalidated!
maybe you should have chosen language that wasn't so harsh and adamant about "absolute truth"
A great thing to learn is that "you don't know everything."
don't act like you do.

Thats like saying you're a christian but don't believe in God. A feminist that doesn't believe in partriarchy isn't a feminist. I don't remember the name of people who want equality in both genders and accept that there are unequalites for both genders, but it's not a feminist. In the image you posted she doesn't say anything about men having unequalites, therefore I fail to see how my argument is invalid. I do however apologize for my ignorance in my first statement I wasn't really thinking.

I figure I'd throw this link in here, since so far this has all been conjecture formed from opinions.

Fasntnig. Like the other guy, though, I don't really want to associate with feminism. I'll just have an "independent" stance on the subject.

I really don't think one person can simply "define" feminism. It's a majority of man hating women who are ridiculously stupid. Even though there are logical ones who do want equality I don't think they should call themselves feminists. It's tainted, like the article states some women were even offended at being called a feminist. That's why I think there's Egalitarianism, it's for people who truly want to be equals.

someone can't define feminism, yet you're attempting to do so.
You haven't formed a single logical thought in quite a while.

True enough. I consider myself an egalitarian under these circumstances, but what I'm more annoyed by is the twisting of the English language's definitions over time due to fanatics.

I do not believe in man taking advantage of a women. I also do not believe a lady should get so drunk she could not say no.
