for all of you dont know the awesomeness that took place, some stores have that little mechanism on the cart, so you need to put a coin in to use the cart. the idea is that if you put the cart back in the corral, you can get your coin back. if you leave it out, they get your coin

the little key thats plugged into is next to impossible to plug into itself. I have spent hours of my life trying to plug that little ****** in on itself, and its finally been done :'D

Really? Wow, every shop (bar tesco) uses this in the uk. You put a pound, euro or token (you can buy it and have it on a key ring). Also lots of places have magnets in the wheels meaning you can't take them away from the store, and on travelators (imagine escalators without the stairs) they stay still. In a town center near me, there is a signal stopping you from taking trolleys past a certain point.

Yes, we have those travelators here in Peru too. (I'm an American living in Peru, sorry for any confusion)

And here in Peru, we also have lockers with the same concept. You put in a coin, lock your stuff in the locker and take out the key. When you put the key back in and get your stuff, you get your coin back.

Yeah, we have that too haha. But to be fair, you put a £ in, you nick the trolley and all you lose is a £ haha. We even have lockers to put your trolly in while you eat a cafe or summin haha

That's not like bagged milk at all. This is in the US. And bagged milk is a diluted concept which only someone who's spent too much time near radiation would consider. That's a cart with a return reward/punishment. You give a coin to that box, if you stick that key in you get it back. Well, the idea is that you can't just get your coin with your cart and leave it randomly about. What I always did was found someone who wasn't paying attention and cart locked them and left.
