North Dakota doesn't have spring. They have construction season and not-construction season separated by a couple weeks of flooding.

I used to live in Grand Forks, in the Red River Valley area, so flooding was a regular, yearly occurrence, but it was well prepared for.

It gets much colder in North Dakota than minnesota. I hear Minnesotans complain about the cold but in Northwest Minnesota-North Dakota, it can get down to -40s. I have personally seen -38. And that wasnt a fluke. It is not uncommon for those temps to happen either. For an idea, the average January temps for Minneapolis is 7.4, where the same month sees an average of -3 for Grand Forks, North Dakota. And obviously, it gets much colder than that.. I can wait to get the hell out of here...
