I think he would be happy that we might get rid of the penny, its economically a waste. each penny cost 1.7 cents to make.

Isn't it like worth less than nothing to keep in circulation?

it costs more than the total number of pennies minted are worth to mint them every year though, if they were to get rid they'd just switch the making machine off and declare them illegal tender after a few years

Lincoln was my uncle, by marriage of course. And I always liked him for his convictions when before I knew. When I first learned they want to discontinue the penny, I was upset. Then I learned how much Lincoln would help if his coin was discontinued. I have since made my peace with it.

Nah man, I just have no ************* what in the world you're trying to say "And I always liked him for his convictions when before I knew." What?

He's my uncle by marriage. Before I knew he was my uncle I always enjoyed reading of what he did. His convictions of bringing together the nation again. Just...he's always been an interesting read.

I don't think he'd care too much as long as he still has the $5 bill.

Lincoln didn't free the slaves because it was right, he did it as incentive to get the southern slaves to revolt against their owners and cause trouble. Northern states that didn't secede were allowed to keep their slaves.

Lincoln was a racist, and people need to stop propping him up as some idol of tolerance and freedom.
