Guys I'm a Linux man myself... but can you guys explain to me why so many people use macs for DJ-ing and Editing?? Are they that good? Is a Normal Windows or Linux with paid software that much inferior??

I'm not trolling I really want to know why (Apparently) MAC>Win/Linux when it comes to music software.

It's all about the OS.
I agree with everything about macs, they're expensive, they are hardware inferior, they have a lame fan base, but the operating system is awesome.

I have been using PC from when i was about 11 years old up until 19 when i bought a macbook, and i can objectively say that OSX is a lot smoother and more manageable, at least in my opinion.

Like when im working in Photoshop, i will get **** done 10times faster if im using a mac.

Linux is really fast too... I've been using Ubuntu for years and It's never crashed on me and it's barely ever frozen... I have only a 4gb Ram and yesterday I was playing Starwars force Unleashed 2 WHILE Torrenting 3 different movies on 3 different clients... and Ubuntu didn't even skip a beat... Windows would've exploded hahaha

I like Linux as well, i have it installed on my little brothers pc, and for an 11 year old, he is really quickly getting the hang of it.

Really, the only thing is just that the Mac's video and music editing softwares are easier to use. That's it. Anyone can pick up a Mac and edit music, pictures, and videos after spending a few minutes with it.

It's not really any better than a more professional software, just easier to use.

Yeah, as a filmmaker, I have OSX installed with a hackintosh because the OS is easier to use. There is no reason to buy the computer from apple though.

Wow... so it's the simplicity of it all that's worth the extra 1000$ ?? That's ridiculous.
Why wouldn't you just spend $200 for a decent Music editing software for Windows or Linux and Learn how to use it enstead of buying an entire new Macbook for the only purpose of it being a little easier to use??

the problem is that people dont want to do that. a mac book is mostly a computer for people that dont know a whole lot about computers. apple is using this to their advantage to over charge people for **** they dont need. plus, they dont sell their editing software separately if im not mistaken. this means to get the software, you have to buy a mac book

you are not mistaken. That's true you need a mac or a macbook to buy their softwares...

Also I'm not sure if this is true but there's a rumour I've seen floating around on the internet that if you have ANYTHING pirated or ripped off that Apple can remotely delete your files?? Is this true? Does anyone know?

They arn't. At the end of the day, for the end-level consumer, there are no benefits to purchasing a mac over a PC. It only matters at the very high level, the professional level, where you can tell the differences for yourself.
