Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally, or PEMDAS is the Order of Operations, or the order in which the different forms of math are calculated. Therefore:
Parentheses
Exponents
Multiplication
Division
Addition
Subtraction
If using this method to correctly reduce the problem to only addition and subtraction terms, the problem will look like this:
3 + (3x3) 3 + 3 = ?
(3 + 9 3 + 3) =?
Still following the PEMDAS formula, addition comes before subtraction:
(3 + 9) (3 + 3) = ?
Therefore:
(12) (6) = 6

Your confidence in your answer makes your failure that much more enjoyable lol.
3+(3*3)+(3+3)=3+(9)+(0)=3+9=12.
fixed
3+(3*3)+(3+3)=3+(9)+(0)=3+9=12.
fixed

in all reality it should be like this
___PEMA
_____DS
As in, Multitplication and Division (And addition and subtraction) are both on the same level, Thus which you just solve from left to right
so Parenthesis, then Exponents, then Multiplication and Division(Left to right), then Addition and Subtraction (Left to right).

Addition and substraction are the same thing. (Subtraction is the addition of negative integers, Addition is the subtraction of negative integers, etc). Division and Multiplication are also the same thing (2 x 1/2 = 1 and 2 / 2 = 1, Division is repeated subtraction, multiplication is repeated addition)

You are aware that addition and subtraction are effectively on the same spot right? You just go in order once you finish the multiplication step.\
It's ******* 12.
How did any of you pass high school?
