Its probably an evaluation not a test, and it probably starts first page really really basic to make sure you qualify for the class in question if you cant solve these problems you dont belong in a community college, its like the Evaluation test for military thing is about as easy as they come but still a lot of people manage to fail it because the average IQ isnt as high as youd think these days

I go to a university, but I have taken summer classes at a local community college, and this **** does not surprise me... A community college degree is not a degree, it is a piece of paper. I got a A+ in calculus at community college and I **** you not, I couldnt tell you wtf a derivative is.
User avatar #36 - thisusernameisalie (04/06/2013) [-]
Well in Community College the math level can vary depending on how high the person scores. It goes up to Calculus.

This friend must be a retard.

That's like Math 041 or something, College level courses are 100+.

At my Community college we have not one but two math courses that cover the required amount of math to graduate with your AA degree. Both courses are only slightly harder than the math I would have taken in the 8th Grade. However, I was in advanced math and took Algebra I instead. ******* ridiculous classes.

community colleges offer very low level math English, and reading. when they enter they usually have to take an entrance exam to determined when their placed. they have low level so they can get them up to regular level college courses. honestly if ur friend was in this class she must have been one dumb girl

Because community colleges are for people looking to get some sort of trade job not a real job ya know.....
User avatar #23 to #12 - NecroBearRAWR (04/06/2013) [-]
I will be getting my associate's degree in Biotechnology from a community college. That's a "trade" job? Not to mention, community college serves the function of cheapening the costs of the first 2 years of college, which arent very different substance-wise when compared to the first 2 years at a traditional 4 year school. Misconceptions like that about community colleges is a huge problem. I have better financial footing that the majority of my peers who graduated with me out of high school, purely because I chose to spend my "Gen Ed. requirements" at a CC, and not an overpriced 4 year.

Right, OP, this community college math test is truly representative of the legitimacy of all American colleges.

We went over integer related operations in my pre-calc class for about 2 weeks because one fourth of the class was that behind.

I honestly had to ask my professor why he payed any attention to them knowing that they are going to drop the class before the semester's even 25 percent done. He told me it's because the school board forced him to because if they keep the students past the drop date then they get to keep the money.

Most colleges are money grubbing bastards.
