I think this generation is definitely PS4U. This guy just pretty much sealed the deal on my decision.

lol... yeah, because the PS4 wont be always online.......

It's not. What is online all the time is just social media crap, you can still play PS4 offline. The 720 is the final nail in the coffin for Microsoft in the console war.

Hell, Wii U is already better than anything Microsoft can make, and Wii U is ******* amazing.

Just to ask, how are the Wii U sales doing and is the PS4 going to get hacked easily again.

You're really gonna go there? Wii U will be growing in sales by the end of the year due to an increase of games coming out and Christmas sales.

PSn only got hacked twice and everyone involved got reimbursed by Sony and got a free game if you had the optional PS+ and a free month of PS+ if you had it while the servers were down for the month. If Microsoft ever got hacked, they'd fix it then tell you to **** off for reporting to them that you lost any MS points or money.

Xbox is and always will be the inferior console.

If you understood exactly how they got hacked, you'd know how poor an effort it was on Sony's side. It was an SQL injection into an unencrypted database behind an outdated firewall... any script kiddie could have done it... Furthermore, why did it take two hacks for them to fix the fundamental problem?

I don't care too much about the console wars... I prefer PC. But that whole PSN hack saga was just pitiful. At least they tried to do right to their customers eventually

But I'll agree with you there, If it happened to MS, they'd just tell you to **** yourself and but a new account. (or however that gold subscription crap works)

I hate both companies for their ****** drm, but they both do it different ways... Sony sues the crap out of people who figure out exploits, while MS requires a net connection to authenticate at base.

So that's how it was done? Interesting.

Anyway, it was hacked on two different , possibly unrelated fronts. The first hack was to steal credit card info and money on people's accounts and the second one was attcking the website to steal people's passwords.

If i was a gambling man, I'd bet it that it was Microsoft, or microsoft paying these people to hack PSN in a form of corporate espionage and ******* with the competition.

well there are gains to be made with acquiring both, CC details, or passwords. So it's equally plausible that it was independent hackers... But MS wouldn't ever want that sort of info traced back to them so I doubt that they'd be behind it, but who knows for sure.

This sort of stuff happens in the corporate world all the time and many companies that do this don't get caught becasue they use third party independent hackers so that it won't get traced to them.
