Only the British ones. Which this author clearly isn't: "Batman for British people".

Our parents had Dr. Who before we did, methinks this comic artist has never watched the older episodes.

Well from my experience there are two types of girls wh watch the show.

Girls someone suggested they watch the show. They basicly watch it because they get sexually obsessed with david tennat.

Hipster bitches, who's main purpose is to tell everyone they watch doctor who (because they are so nerdy lololo XDDDDD).

Seeing as this one made a comic about it, i would say that she is an extreme hipster. And probably has no knowledge of previous doctor who episodes.

How can you tell the artist isn't a real fan of Doctor Who?
She talks about the bowtie -_-
Not the leather jacket, or trench coat?

the leather jacket and the trenchcoat were never a catch phrase. They make a big deal out of the bow tie.

Because bowties are cool.

The trench coat is at least 5 times more amazing though.

I feel like I'm taking a bold step when I say this, but isn't explaining Dr. Who to your parents as easy as saying "Kinda like when you watched Dr. Who, but less cheesy?"

If you had a gif /image of a bolo tie as to why they are cool, I would review my current evaluation of various ties into relation to coolness. But until then... bow ties are cool.

Hmmm.... I do have to say it is cooler than a regular tie... but bow ties are still cooler.

I personally don't watch Dr. Who, but I'v noticed that females are indeed the most vocal about it. I'v noticed that girls are probably more vocal than guys by about 3:1. But then again, girls have always been vocal about anything that have British accents so I don't know why anyone would be surprised.

I couldn't agree more to the nerdy one
my friends made me start with the 9th Doctor, and by the time i made it to Tennant i was hooked.
Now i just put on a weeping angel episode or one of the sad episodes for someone who hasn't seem one before and my friends are sure to be hooked.

Dr. Who was made in the sixties......
My dad actually introduced me to the show when I said I was interested in time travel.
