The only people in direct threat from North Korea is South Korea (our buddies). We have multiple joint military bases in SK (15 in all) including Osan and Kunsan two heavily used Air Force bases. Each and every one including our bases in Guam have been equipped with a THAAD anti-missle launcher. Along with a detection and response time that would play out before a North Korean nuke could even reach its apex altitude. In addition here in the states Operation FOAL Eagle has been underway in preperation for a broad range of possible outcomes scrambling B-52 Stratofortresses and B-2 Stealth Bombers for frequent training excersises and even a few anti-missile lasers. The actual threat is minimal to South Korea ( which they would not nuke due to proximity issues and probable fallout) and Guam. Which in fact is Still >2000 miles Away from NK which is double the distance of their furthest tested missile. However they do posses an experimental "KN-08" that they claim can go 6,000 mile which would just barely reach Alaska but it is presumed ineffective as you cant rely on a guidance system if its never been used before ie. never tested. There is a reason they call it rocket science^
