"If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives." (Leviticus 20:13 NAB)

Jesus also pretty much says that the old law doesn't matter as long as you love your neighbor as yourself and love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.

that is a contradiction not a refutation

“‘Keep my decrees.

“‘Do not mate different kinds of animals.

“‘Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed.

“‘Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material.
Leviticus 19:19

Have you ever worn polyester? Well guess what, you're going to hell. I guess all the farmers are going to hell too ever since crop rotation was brought about.

Except it actually translates to refer to male prostitutes. Ignoring the fact that the bible holds no actual weight in the real world.

Every bible you read today has been rewritten, reworded, and re-translated a hundred times over and has been edited by hundreds if not thousands of priests and monks, over the course of roughly 1900-1800 years. When scholars go back as far as exists in record and looks at the translations they say nothing of homosexuals. They refer to male prostitution.(1)

The most current bible is The New King James Version published fully in 1982. It has many discrepancies between it and the King James Version.(2) This has been a continues chain of issues as priests and monks have added and removed what they felt was best.(3)

Explain how Bible scholars who are "buried in a 20-year project to codify the thousands of changes, verse by verse, word by word — even letter by letter — that crept into the early New Testament during hundreds of years of laborious hand-copying." Are biased, they're biblical scholars and are reporting the facts. Essentially all of my sources were from biblical scholars or professors.

Alright.

And you're pointing this out because?
User avatar #158 to #156 - thebritishguy (04/04/2013) [-]
because it is true and shows that the verse has no weight

But they are wise words to live by, even if some religious people can quotes the passages but not live by them.

inb4 "Jesus cancelled the laws"
"It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." (Luke 16:17 NAB)
