Life without death would have no meaning, no purpose, and we all know that it is purpose that created us, purpose that connects us, purpose that pulls us, that guides us, that drives us; it is purpose that defines us, purpose that binds us.

Chromosomes have Heavy Plate Armor of Armageddon +6 equipped on their ends, which will protect them from some dangerous **** during cell division (mitosis). However most cells don't have Anvil and Forge near them, so the durability of their armor decreases. After 50 divisions (or so) durability reaches 0% and they can't dodge incomming blows. As a result their HP goes down and parts of their bodies are being cut off, that cell will miss some genes and that part of your ugly body will rot and die.
However cancer cells have unlimited supply of blacksmith hammers, so they never die. But when they don't die, they don't log off and the server becomes overpopulated. That's why they begin to form a Thieves Guild which operates in growing colonies of cancer cells and steal nutrients from your server (body).
People think that if we steal their blacksmith hammer supply, we will win. However it's a cheat and GM would just ban you, resulting uncontrolled Thieves Guild activities in your goddamn server.

TLDR: cancer is bad.

... infinite life ? Nah.
The Telomeres degrade every time it splits. A DNA sequence is not infinite. It has a built in self-destruct.
Also, if it can cure those diseases. It has already created them.
This content is a whole load of meh.

What if cancer was just for lack of a better word a corrupted file in our genetic code. Something that perhaps either we evolved with or in a lost, advanced civilization we know nothing about developed a sort of add on to our DNA that enabled us to fight off disease and make us live much longer. In the early bible stories everyone lives to a very old age.

I think you have an interesting hypothesis however I feel that the second you involved religion into your statement your creditability is decreased drastically.

What if cancer was something developed by some ancient scientist, knowing civilization was about to fall, engineered a disease that wouldn't threaten the survival of the human race, but kill enough people for us to notice and try to cure eventually. Inside this disease he packed in cures to disease and longer life, packing in all of the medical discoveries of his time, knowing they would be lost for millennia otherwise.

I did some research into becoming "immortal" or reversing the effects of aging, a lot of processes have a chance to mutate existing cells into cancer cells if not properly done. You would also need to repair the mitochondria, which a majority of the damage is caused by oxidation/ cellular degeneration. On top of that there is a ton of intra/extracellular junk to remove, and several other steps that would need to be done that I don't quite understand yet. I find the topic interesting, but I don't think I'd want to be able to live forever, maybe just tack a couple hundred years to my life would be enough.

Infinite life would suck. Nobody wants see their favorite book go on forever... it would become boring and unbearable.
