I love pitts. Rotties, staffies, dobermans, you name it. There is no such thing as a naturally vicious dog, and NO dog, EVER, in fact no animal, ever attacks without good reason. Actually, the only creatures on this earth that just think "imma **** that ************ up just cuz" are humans.

i don't think that aggression is particular to one breed or the other, but i do believe that some breeds are more inclined to aggression than others. and since that bulldogs, pitbulls, dobermans and other similar breeds where originally bred for fighting, bloodsports, and protection. they not only are more inclined to be aggressive, but have the tools to really hurt someone.

It's kinda dumb that one type of breed is segregated and hated because the majority of people use them for fighting. It's not the dog's fault. It's the ****** people who make them do those acts.

It's almost like racism. Racism for dog's. Dog Racism.

100% of pitbull attacks can be attributed to poor dog ownership, either in the past or present. All dogs can be trained and controlled, theres none that can't. Failure to do so is the previous and current owners fault, noone elses.

yeah sorry but i am inclined to disagree. though training and discipline has a significant effect on how a dog turns out, there are some dogs that are born violently aggressive and don't ever come around. Pitbulls are a mix between a Terrier-which was a hunting dog that was meant to hunt down and kill anything that it was told to. and a Bulldog, which was bred to fight bulls in an arena.. those kinda genes makes it more likely for that kind of aggression to be implanted. and i don't like being an apathetic prick, but if i felt that a dog that i owned had that kind of aggression in him/her. i would put the dog down.

As I said below if the dog is that aggressive then it's still up to the owner to deal with it before a problem occurs. If the owner neglects to have the dog put down or at least taken in by a proffessional then it's still their fault that the attack happened.

That completely rules out any mental or emotional problems, which is ridiculous to do. That's the equivalent of saying that all human violence and crime is the result of being raised badly as kids, and precludes any psychological or biological problems.

And the difference between that and what u said is that humans have the reasoning skills to for the most part avoid commiting criminal acts because of a psychological or emotional problem. Otherwise theres institutions for that. If they're not seeking help, that's on them. Once again, their fault. If there is actually nothing that can help them, we can't just euthanize them like we would with a dog that there was no hope of redemption for, because that's against the law.

No, the pitbulls that have those kinds of problems should be dealt with proffessionally, not kept by a retarded owner who doesn't want to deal with it properly. If a pitbull with a mental or emotional problem is in a situation where it can attack and wound someone, that too is the result of failure as an owner.

Don't blame the dog for your own stupidity, and don't defend the human race for being a bunch of complete retards.

I still don't see how you can say that 100% of pitbull attacks are because of the owner, absolutely, in every case, without a doubt.

Because Animals have thought patterns and the knowledge for them is available. We have all the tools neccessary to prevent an animal from attacking someone, and the signs of an impending problem is always there. Animals work on instinct, They won't do something that deviates from their instinctual patterns, that's why some animals can be trained and why animals in general can be kept as pets. The fact that pitbulls attack more doesn't mean it's because they don't follow their instincts, it just means they have more aggressive instincts, but they are completely controllable by the proper means, Even if that means that one of them has a mentality that is so aggressive they must be euthanized. It's up to the owner to either realize that themselves before it's a problem, or to take them to a proffessional that can notice it and give advice. That's why I say 100% of attacks are the owners or other involved human beings fault, either by poor action, or failure or act at all.

Because of the rigorous inbreeding that was done to create the breed of pitbull we see today, their brains grow at a disproportionate rate to the rest of their bodies. At a certain point in their lives, their brain becomes too small for their head, and the pressure causes them to go violently insane.

My aunt was doing laundry one afternoon, with her year-old baby playing in the basket by her clothesline. A normal day. Suddenly, a pitbull came streaking in from across the road toward my aunt and her child; it had torn itself from its leash during a walk.

It tore off the baby's face and ate it. Not ten feet from his mother. The owners of the dog said it was the sweetest thing, and it had never hurt a thing in its life. Well, that first thing it chose was an infant, which it violently murdered and consumed. Pitbulls are no longer allowed in that town.

Buy it as a pup. Don't be getting one if it's over 12 weeks old.
Spend as much time as you can playing with it and introducing it to new people, friends, family, regular visitors etc. It's at this age the pup will start to cement who it likes and who it doesn't. Don't hit it at any point, even when disciplining it, it won't work. These are attack dogs so getting hit is just going to kick their instinct into gear, use a spray bottle filled with water and whenever it does something wrong or bad, just spray it in the face.
Take it out for walks as much as you can while it's young, once it grows up you won't be able to walk it around your estate or city, it's too powerful, you can use a lead past 2 years old, you'll literally have your wrist snapped.
Once it gets older, and bigger, take it to parks and other recreational areas that are large, and let it run about, make sure to train your dog to come back to you when you call it first though, don't want one of them running around the place...
