I actually have a theory that Mars is actually a post-apocalyptic world... You see, the species that lived there were were very technologically advanced and were a society much like this ours, but like our world, they had wars. Then they had a war so catastrophic, they knew the end of the world was near, so they constructed a ship much like Noah's arc that would carry humans animals and plants. The ship left the planet and then all of the planet's most powerful weapons were fired, destroying the planet and making it look like what it is now. The ship crashed onto the Earth and they wiped out the dinosaurs for survival, but they lost all their technology along the way so they had to adapt in order to survive, and the humans we are now, are the evolution of what they were, and some of the animals that survived from their world are the ones that we don't know where they evolved from

more like their technology was scarce since they crashed so they used what they had to survive and try to leave clues behind for us like pyramids and ****. Just trying to get people to think about it.

that would make an interesting sci-fi book but lets get real here:
-where is the big ass ship?
-there would be ruins all over mars, the rovers would have found them
-we didn't feel like bringing over any books or **** to remember the past?
-if we were that advanced, why did it take us this long to build another space ship?

the big ass ship was broken apart for needed materials and thats what people used to build the pyramids, and they were more advanced than we are so they had weapons that could break apart the material they were made of, and that caused everything disappeared, and all the books and **** were put on the pyramids as hieroglyphs that no one can decipher , and again they were forced to survive in an unknown world with limited resources.

YES! and what if Mars was so technologically advanced that they used iron/steel to build vast continent wide metropolises and that the rain for 40 days and 40 nights thing meant that the oceans overflowed the entire planet with water causing the iron to oxidize and become rust until nothing was left and the entire planet was covered in it.

WARNING: LONG.

That sounds similar to the theory that the asteroid bekt was a large planet that had human beings on it.

I don't remember all the facts but i recall that the humans on that planet grew so technologically advanced that they could control the weather, but then they set of hydrogen bombs all around the world and killed the planet. this isn't to say they went,"hurr durr blow up planet" but the wars between them eventually lead to this.

Also, in this theory there are other groups of aliens that existed together and watched over human beings and apparently this happens quite often. Not to say humans are always blowing themselves up, but that they always go towards the same end, utter destruction.

So they constantly relocate the humans onto another planet. It's not like they move a bunch o f humans to another planet, but rather they biologically create another human being.

Take the bible for example, some people have hypothesized that the Garden of Eden was really a testing lab where they created the first humans. Although man was created outside of the lab, they later took him into thelab and removed one of the more easily replaceable bones rich in DNA to create a woman.

Thus we were created by aliens.

If you've ever heard of planet X(Nibiru),the Nephilim (Giants, in the bible angels, scientifically aliens from planet X) and the early civilizations (ever seen the fourth kind? The aliens from the movie are based on this hypothesis) which seemed to have technology way ahead of their time, including electricity(egyptians had electricity, look up egyptian battery). That God says,"Let US make man in OUR image and likeness" has inspired some to believe all these different things.

As a catholic of course, to me that's just the trinity :P but, meh think what you'd like of it.

I kind of had the same theory but the species was from far away and they were a god-like species, technology that was thousands of years ahead of any other species, and went to Mars when it was a world like ours but destroyed by the god-like race because that race was looking for something that was originally theirs, ergo they had to take over the species, set new rules and end warfare so the Martians wouldn't inadvertently find what the god-like race was looking for. The race that took over eventually found what they wanted and destroyed everything on the planet anyway and settled for other areas in the solar system to find the other pieces of what they were looking for. Some crazy idea I had in my head about three years ago, so I decided to write a four-book series about the theory when they visit Earth in the year 2133 up to 2678 when the god-like race develops rebels and help the humans out.
Just thought I'd share, as well as this picture I drew as the second cover for my second book.

don't hurt me I just wanted to share

It's a hypothesis then. If we're dealing with science here you need scientific evidence to back you up before you even come near to a theory.
