This is pretentious gamer elitism at it's finest.

A game with horrible graphics versus games with stylized/fitting graphics are two very different things. You can play an ugly 8-bit, 32-bit or fully 3D game and not feel immersed because they distract you. But if a stylized game that doesn't have cutting edge "Battlefield 3" graphics can still perform better than most mass marketed games because they fit the style of the game and gameplay.

**** you, OP, ugly games are **** to play. Go play the first ET or Bubsy 3D and tell me that graphics don't matter.

I have to say I agree, but not agree.
You've got to atleast put SOME effort into making the game look good, otherwise it's a completely different story. I can stand games like Zelda, where they were limited to the technology of their time, but in a time like this, if you're making ******* Mario 64 variants, you're bound to end up in the gutter.
