I believe Britain and England is the same country but with different names

think of it sorta like the states. not the same or some britfag will get angry about it. england whales scotland and northern ireland all have their own government and more or less operate alone. however they do fall under the control of the central government if i remember correctly

Britain is the union (read: Kingdom) between England, Scotland, Wales, and North Ireland.
England is a country within the kingdom. It's sort of the creator of the kingdom.
I realize I've simplified a few things, but that's the gist of it.

Actually, Great Britain is the name of the Island which contains Scotland, England and Wales. Northern Ireland is only included when talking about the United Kingdom.
