i co-own sinister extremes custom body shop and with my experence with duct tape eventually it will dry rot in the sun and when you go to peel it off the sticky resedue will dry onto the car paint and will never come off even with goo be gone, leading to you never going to be able to sell the car or trade it in to a dealership. you could look into vynl wraps which will cost around the same and see if they could produce you somthing custom like you are trying to do and wrap it yourself instead of paying $1200 or $800 to have them do it for you. just my opinion though. good luck!
pic unrelated, some of mine and my dads work (yes that is a dodge magnum with a 2011 srt/8 charger front end)

will it rot even if there's clear lacquer over the tape?

Yes,doesn't matter, the heat will make the adhesive cook and rebond to your paint. He's kind of wrong you can get it off, but it involves getting a legit repaint of your car, which is where they sand everything off. Thats the only way to get it off.

if he had money he would have just did a custom repaint on the car in the first place instead of duct tape, and if he goes to sell the car why pay aroud $450 for a repaint just to sell the car and get around $300 more at list price for a 1992 toyota camery i believe it is?

well, you kinda have to sand the car to prep it for paint anyway, but thanks

it all depends on what state you live in, unless its arizona i cant point you anywhere. you could look us up on facebook @ sinister extremes cold intake systems, im brandon and our adress info and phone is up to date now. you could always look on craigslist or try googleing vynl wraps for your local area. if needed i can call a customer that recently had his car wrapped and get the adress of the place, a phone number, and the persons name?

haha you noticed, yes we do. the intake is one we produce for the 5.7,6.1 dodge engines it produces 35 horsepower to the rear wheels better than any intake out for the cars. and the radiator cover that also functions with a piece that sits above the radiator fans to keep hot air from blowing on the bottom of the intake and allows cool air to blow in. if needed i could email you a few videos of a air ride suspension we set up on a 69 dodge charger with a 07 dodge charger belly pan welded to the body. pic related it s the two compressors and the tank.

I did this with duct tape, took the pick guard off and all that. Duct tape is fun, especially when its some kinda design.

I think you should do your whole car in duct tape.

Yes do it. Then do it again to the valve cover.

except the valve cover would have to be painted like the zebra print since it would be a bad idea to try to use duct tape to cover it.

Do it to the bonnet and and fuel cap as well. But only that. Then bright green wheels. and lower it. if you get any drift damage, don't forget that cable tie's fix everything and look awesome!
