You can become "cured" through treatment.
The thing most people forget/don't know is that everyone has cancerous cells in their body, people who "have cancer" just have more of them, you can use treatments to get them to normal levels at which point you just need careful monitoring, yes there is always a chance of remission, but more and more often as medical breakthroughs are happening, people are surviving without remissions.

You can "beat" certain cancers through treatments and surgeries. There's usually a chance of remission though.

It's poorly used grammar, but yes, some forms of cancer can actually be suppressed indefinitely. You could argue that it's still incorrect since some theories state that dormant cancer exists in everyone, but I don't think any of that was taken into account for a picture that was probably made to whore thumbs on Facebook.
