How do you feel about Pope Francis

Unlike Pope Benedict, I feel Francis will be a lot more strict in exposing Pedophile priests. Although I disagree with his views on homosexuality and gay adoption, I feel he might be a good Pope.

GIRforpresident (03/22/2013) [-] I don't like the idea of popes or whatever, but our priest at my school used to work with francis, and they would get food from this female cook occaisionally (they were both poor as fuck) and went to her house to do religious shit (inb4 brazzers) and she had this fucking god awful run down house. our priest went like 3 months later, and the house was brand new, and when he asked how the hell she paid for it, Francis did with the little money he had. good guy francis

1. church should be poor, and he himself refuses to live anywhere besides his basic living pad he currently lives in.
2. They need to stop covering up pedopriests and is taking steps to stop hiding them
3. they need to be more christ-like, and he so far he seems trust worthy.
I'm not catholic, nor do i believe that some old man in an elaborate dress will have any affect on what happens when i die, but aside from his conservative anti-gay beliefs, i think i can tolerate him.
I mean, he's not the normal "gays are evil, but i molest kids" type guy, so atleast he practices what he preaches.

He's the Pope. All he's got authority over is Catholic people and the Vatican, not something that's going to change the world.
I mean, really, would you be surprised if you lived in the Vatican, pretty much the most Catholic place on the planet, and they didn't allow gay marriage?
Yeah I disagree with him, but I'm not affected by him and he's not doing visible harm, so I don't really care.

You can't expect a religion as old as Catholicism to change it's beliefs bases on societal views. that is like saying, "our omnipotent timeless god's laws are unpopular, we should change them. That sounds a lot like heresy. I may be wrong because i am a baptist, not a catholic.
