how many people can identify catnip on sight?

that doesn't really answer my question. how many people do you think actually know that fact. because i've never owned a cat or studied up on an plants so i didn't know what cat nip looked like until you told me. and i will likely forget

They would wonder:
"hmm cats sure like that bush thing growing there."
If they knew what catnip is, which most people do, they'd know that cats like the smell. So they'd bend down, maybe break off a leaf to smell it and they'd go:

"Yes, that is catnip, because cats like it and it fits the description of catnip. Therefore it is probably catnip."

Then the person in the aforementioned example would go on to write on thesis on catnip and it's proper identification. So that people would no longer have to worry about not knowing what a catnip bush looks like, because the thesis would be so good the person would become a millionaire as a lengthy 1 hour documentary that focuses on zooming in and out on a catnip bush with the message flashing:

"THIS IS A CATNIP BUSH, THEY LOOK LIKE THIS."

Flashing beneath it.

If he wanted to become a cat god he should burnt his ashes along with some catnip leaves, so that the cats would snort his ashes and he could posses them. In so doing he would eventually be present in the cats in the area. Thus becoming a god or at least the figurehead for cat cultists.

This practice may have been brought about since the birth of the Egyptian empire, where the worship of cats was quite common. Several of their gods are depicted as having the heads of cats and hence we can assume they are cat gods.

It seems the best the common man can do is attempt to become some cat demi-god that dwells within his worshippers, bestowing them with human traits, allowing them to jump the evolutionary line and become FURRIES.

In all seriousness though, what other kind of plant attracts cats?

My cat had kittens once. We gave her a whole bathroom as a nursery of sorts, and her kittens, when they could see, would always get stuck in the bath tubs. :3

I don't know why she was so obsessed with the bath tub. We did have a leaky faucet she liked to drink from. But even when that was fixed, My fiance or I would go to take a shower, and there she was, looking at us like "Ohai."
