How do you use this?

crazy. I just bought my first gaming mouse and its the Razer Naga Epic. waiting for it to come in the mail.

If I were to pick up a Razer mouse it'd have to be the Ouroboros. My little brother has the Naga IIRC and it's quite a nice mouse, just not my style. Most other mice aren't my style since I picked up the RAT7.

I did a crap load of research into computer peripherals before I bought my mouse and keyboard. If you don't like the Naga, I suggest the RAT7 or the one posted here. Cyborg has released some top notch equipment and I support it 100 percent. Might be a little pricey, but it's worth it.

Haha, I've got almost the same setup, RAT 7, but a regular black widow ultimate instead (not stealth)

I've had Razer mice, and a couple Logitech mice, but they never last even a whole year.. batteries on my g5 died and couldn't be replaced, left click fucked up for a while too. My Razer Mamba had a click so soft the weight of your finger clicked it. And my logitech MX revolution would never lock it's wheel properly after changing from flywheel mode.

This mouse is honestly the first computer peripheral I've ever owned that IF it ever wore out I'd buy another of the same model. It's that good! Over 2 years of use now.

The thumb sniping button is kinda cool if you set it up the way you like, but the thumbwheel is where it's at! (great for switching between tabs in web browsers, or targets in MMO's)

The software is okay, it does what it should and nothing more (as it should). It's way better than Logitech or Razer's software, I find theirs unnecessarily resource hungry and a little buggy.

I think the only thing it needs is a "click counter" just to prove how freaking durable they are.

Keyboard wise, I was about to purchase the "Black Widow Ultimate" after about a month of researching keyboards, then Razer posted the Stealth version upgrade and it's somewhat upgraded from the normal version. I also am glad it's a matte/satin finish and not gloss... I hate gloss peripherals. I've had mine since it came out (I think late 2011) and I love it.

Mouse wise, I did about the same amount of research and tried some Razer mice and wasn't really impressed, I didn't like their feel. I found the RAT series fairly early, but I wanted to keep my options open. Well, eventually picked it up and the customizability is great. You aren't forced to a specific size or weight for the mouse. Mine has the least amount of weight in it. I also dig the pinky rest, was strange to get used to. I took it off a while ago, I don't recall why. I picked the mouse up about two or three years prior to the keyboard IIRC.

Headphones I picked up the Razer Tiamat 7.1 and I love them! When they're in 7.1 mode, you get very clear sound and it's strange having such direction to sound from headphones. In 'stereo' mode all the other drivers operate as 'subs' and it sounds superb. Most excellent for movie watching.

I believe in buying quality items, even if they are more expensive and they tend to be worth it. I have a 1800$ PC by ASUS from 3 years ago that is still easily worth 1200$.

Yeah... A matte keyboard would be nicer... easier to keep clean... no glare from your keyboard

Honestly I'm not even that impressed with my Razer BW:ult, The F12 key doesn't light up anymore, and the S key randomly adds extra S's... And it's only a year and a half old... more than tolerable usually, but not when the keyboard was nearly $200 AUD

I do like being able to program any key to do anything whenever I want to change it, but I basically never use that feature anyway...

I was looking at the V.7 I believe, but something told me to go for the Black Widow. Idno.

I don't think I could use the STRIKE series unless I got a new desk. Mines pretty skinny where the keyboard and mouse is at. It's more or less my keyboard reaching to the left side and my mouse pad fits between the side of the keyboard and the edge of the desk just barely. It could be cool, but I'd need a new desk.

My dad is a fan of computer gadgets and I wouldn't mind having some of the things he has, but he also has quite the desk to support it all.

Haha, deskspace is always a limiting factor. If you want my advice...corner desks are awesome when it comes to making the most of limited space in a room. I got a 2nd hand corner desk not too long ago after having the same problem as you and I'ts fixed a lot of posture and back problem I had

I have amazing posture and I love the layout of my desk, it's just not the best.

When I'm able to move as a result from my game receiving enough donations, my tech set up will receive an upgrade. However I have yet to receive one donation, so it'll be a while. I'm hoping to at least have a exploration demo out as soon as I finish the colony ship design I've been working on. It takes a while when you're designing as space ship that's 16.5 KM long by 14.3 KM wide by 5.4 KM tall

Utilizing the Unity engine for now at least. It may see an overhaul after the game is real popular, but to support more growth through the indie community I may stick with Unity for that simple reason.

I started learning from zero (comparatively) knowledge of game creation about 2 years ago, I believe I actually started on my 21st birthday. Late last year I lost all my 3D assets that I had built up, but that was for the better. Mid-January I met up with Brian Herbert and Kevin Anderson who after a weekend of talking with offered to work on story and possibly a movie for the game after the game is popular and making money.

Lately it's been building up connections, so when I start making money I can start paying artists and whatnot to speed progress along. I'm remodeling "the fleet" since I was unhappy with their original design. After I get these two models done, I'll be switching over to the Unity engine to get a walk/(super speed)run around demo of the two vessels. Hoping that'll spur some more interest and donations.

Dangit, Wish i knew a little more about game design. You're way out of my league in that area. I gave unity a quick Google because I hadn't heard of it.

I'm more of a network itemsistration and security guy, and only in the first semester of my bachelor course. But if you've got a site or blog with info on your game I'd be keen to read about it.

I'm trying to get enough money scraped together to purchase a business license and a website domain so I begin work on that. I however have wonderful assistance for that coming from my older brother who's going to be making 150K+ a year soon.

I'm needing to learn network design and all that fun stuff due to the nature of the game being a MMO. Single-player code does not work for a MMO game to put it simply. Also there are very inherent benefits utilizing a MMO platform. It's more difficult, but it's worth it for what it is I want to accomplish.

Well the cost of a domain is pretty cheap, and buying it sooner rather than later is better (just in case someone takes what you were planning on getting)

I'm interested in what you were doing, mainly to show my younger brother who's just learning some game design... sprites and simple stuff atm

But I don't wanna mislead you, I'm not keen on inputing myself, I don't have the time or motivation right now, maybe once I'm done with my bachelor
