Well think about it let's say you brought it up and had it for a couple months it's not big yet and not well know then EA comes in and offers you an 8 digit figure. Would you be fool and turn down 10+ million. What you can earn in a matter of minutes will be more than what you can earn in several decades if you kept that company.

If I remember 8th grade english correctly, EA in this case is a collective noun, or a singular noun with plural meaning like family or herd. In American English the collective noun is usually treated as singular and in British English the collective noun is usually treated as plural. There are probably other rules but I don't feel like looking them up.
