I would even call it a cordial because most cordials have alcohol in them, like lemoncelo (sp?) etc.

Limoncello isn't really a cordial, it's a liqueur. Cordials are usually non-alcoholic, like lime or elderflower. They're sort of like grown-up squash, in that you can't really drink them straight because they're far too strong and have the consistency of syrup.
