Well, I'm not diabetic, so I'm only sort of making a guess as to how diabetes works. Though, with what I understand about the human body and how it works, I presume that taking in too much sugar, or any one thing, at once, would put your body into some type of shock, which would be this hyperglycemia thing, correct?

I'm not diabetic either man, I just had to do a sort of intense first aid course as part of my job. But basically hypoglycemia is when a diabetic does not have enough sugar, much more easy to correct by simply giving them a fizzy drink and a chocolate bar or something like that. Hyperglycemia is the opposite, to much sugar, just as dangerous if not more so, because its harder and takes longer to get the sugar out the system.
