Except that Germany was in ruins after WWII and that it only propers now because of the allies realizing that making them pay the damage of the war like after WWI and force them into another treaty of Versaille will just lead to another Hitler. The main person who brought germany out of his ashes was Konrad Adenauer. After the war he fought for the sovereignty and reconstruction of Germany. Germany has never truly recovered from WWI. It was much more powerful before the world wars.

Have to say I can't fully disagree with him going after the mentally handicapped population. In my opinion when it came to that he was just reinforcing natural selection, which we've completely ignored.
