Must feel like shit when you're throwing 1,000 bucks into some thug's face.
Everyone is questioning minor costs like the training and cowl, the better question is how the hell did the stealth heli-jet thing only cost $60 million? The F35 cost about $40 billion to develop and is a far less effective VTOL stealth plane.

Things are a lot less expensive when you produce them yourself.
that 1,500,000 dollars worth of training can be done in the airforce as a pararescue trooper you can fly, kill, and go to school for free not to mention your a qualified doctor.. batman over payed a little bit
