As an Irish man, I'm proud that other countries celebrate St. Patricks day. Stop being a prick.

Thats cool that you say that man cause this was me just yesterday on St. Patty's in the U.S, Georgia. Found these two Irish police officers celebrating St. Patricks day in America. They loved it.

*Paddy's

Patty is a short-form of Patricia and a term for a shape of food.

As an non-irish man, I just wish that everyone would shut the **** up about nationalities, like they're so goddamn special when they're barley what they claim to be. Everyone wants to go around boasting about being Spanish, or Irish, or Norwegian, or Italian. It doesn't make you more desirable nor does it make you cool, it just makes you a pure ******* annoyance. We're all different, no need to rub in each others faces. Maybe we should focus on what makes us the same instead of fighting over differences.

I didn't say you can't enjoy yourself ********. I simply requested the end of unnecessary announcing and gloating of nationality when no one asks.

Because saying "As an Irish man" is gloating about my nationality.

Because mentioning the fact that I'm Irish on a post about St Patricks day that also mentions Irish and American people is irrelevant information

Because you mentioning the fact that you're non-Irish isn't doing the exact thing you're insulting me for doing, merely saying I am Irish.

Who gives a **** what you post online? I'm talking about when you get off the keyboard and walk out of the door. If you even do. Although I don't even see a point in telling that to people online out of random when no one asked. What other reason would you have for posting it than for wanting to feel special? No one cares if you are or not.

"Who gives a **** what you post online?"

Clearly you, if you're crying at me for posting my opinion on OP's description. Me being Irish was relevant information.

Pride: A feeling of pleasure from one's own achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is associated

I'm proud that my culture [of which I am associated with] is being celebrated so widely.

DAMMIT MEG!

As a half-Irish man, I like to sit down in a bar and have a nice chat with the bartender over a glass of cold beer.
