I wonder how the medics who actually saved her mother felt after reading that headline.

I know I'd be pissed to find out that the credit went to a 7 year old who just picked up the phone. I know she did a good job calling, but giving her the credit for saving her mother's life is a bit too much.

Pic unrelated.

Don't be an asshole, no one is taking away from what they did, but the fact still stands if the girl didn't call 9 11 she would have died so in a way she did save her moms life, not to mention if they put a story up everytime a medic saved someone thats all we'd be seeing on the news. Not to mention in a way the medics did nothing heroic, i have all the respect in the world for those people, they were just doing there jobs.

dude i understand she is 7 but she just called a number. she didn't do much. what she did did save her mom but why did she get a medal for it? did she fend off an attacker? did she help her mom while she was having a heart attack? did she preform CPR? no she just slapped her with a slice of pizza and picked up a phone.

because thats what the news chose to cover and whether is was simple or not what they said was accurate, it doesn't always take a lot to save someones life. And there not giving her any grand accomadation, its a fluff piece on some local new station. There was nothing wrong with her being featured, nor was there any reason to bring up the medics or give them any accommodation.
