I wasn't sure if he would notice, get mad, just pass it off by subtly "correcting" it (like he did), or make it obvious that he took off points because of that.

Why don't you just get transferred to another school if you're atheist, instead of intentionally giving wrong answers and failing?

I think he still might've gotten the question right and the teacher just reworded it to follow school rules.

Switching schools isn't an easy thing to do. I'm sure he would rather just keep his beliefs a secret instead of switching schools for various reasons. Maybe I'm just looking too much into this but it pisses me off saying he should just switch schools because of that but I'll just go on then.

He made it pretty obvious he is atheist.

"People realized God didn't exist" implies he doesn't believe in it either. If he believed in god, he would have worded it "People lost faith" or "People stopped believing in god" or something.

And no shit switching isn't easy, I never said it wasn't. And that said, if he persists with that shit, he'll get into shit anyway.

You can be an atheist and still say you believe in god, it's called lying and it's pretty easy to do. He only said that on his test because it was the last question and he stopped caring for that particular test. Do you have a problem with an atheist being a catholic school if he goes along with it?

I just find it weird. Why go to the school if you don't believe what it teachers and are just going to piss the teachers off?

Wow... you are so biased towards atheists it's disgusting. I'll just explain it to you:

1. Every single school you ever go to will teach things you don't believe in and that you just have to go along with. Just because you don't believe in it, doesn't mean you aren't learning something from it. So since every school does this, why not just stay with the catholic school who is more known for it's good program instead of a different public school who doesn't have as good of a reputation?

2. He didn't piss off the teachers. We only know that the only smartass thing he has ever done at that school is put "people realized God didn't exist" and the teacher changed the words around. The teacher didn't make any other comments or ask to speak with him.

3. He's still in school and he only purposely messed with 1 question so it's safe to assume he cares about his education at least at the level of the average student, if not more.

I'm not biased toward anything. I just find it strange, fuck.

We can go back and forth like this to the ends of the earth, but neither is going to change minds or anything and I'm tired and having a more than frustrating day which I want to end.

I'd like to have a say. One of the reasons i don't transfer is because its a hassle. We have quarters and its the middle of the third one so why would i transfer just to be in some other school for a few months. Beside Catholic schools for the most part have very good education much better than a lot of public ones. And not like you did anything wrong but my peers after finding out i was an Atheist treated me like second class and also told me why don't a transfer and I took that as an insult. As if just because I changed my mind I couldn't continue to get a fair education just because I don't believe in their God. And I don't have any intention of hiding it. In fact i enjoy being a smart ass with it, but I take my education seriously even the religious exams even though i like to throw a few smug remarks of my tests now a days. What would they do if they found out though? They can't expel me I pretty sure that illegal in America despite it being a Catholic school. This isn't very relevant but I'm actually a female.

I went to a Catholic School for 4 years. You basically just said how I passed Religion class.

Can't tell if serious or trying to make a joke. Sunday School usually refers to a 'class' during or before normal church, where children are taught religious lessons made for kids. They usually do this so the kids can be preached to too and so they do not have to sit in 'boring' adult church.

Oh well there you go. I fucking hate religion (went to a private school for 3 months, hated it for 4 reasons below). I have never went to school on a sunday before so it confused me.

1) Teacher was a total bitch. Hated her.
2) Pictures of Jesus everywhere creeped me out.
3) Forced church service during class hours + giving us bibles. I don't like studying religion, don't care at all
4) The uniforms were awful, didn't even know how to put the tie on

Usually Sunday school isn't vigorous like an actual school, there are no grades and stuff. They are usually fun for the kids, and they get to play and have snacks and stuff.

School is never fun. Trust me, I'd be miserable if I was stuck there

Well any age really. I've never enjoyed having to leave the house. And I've also never enjoyed religion. Back in that school (~3rd grade) they tried to make us draw angels for fun (come to think of it, that probably WAS sunday school but I just repress it). I just sat there bored for an hour with a pencil and a piece of paper in front of me.

i once had an exam it was on metallurgy or something but one question was name the types of crystalline formations in iron or something like that it was a while ago anyway i knew what letter they started with but not the whole word so my answers were pyrite (fools gold) and cryptonite (superman's weakness) and it got marked correct

If you have absolutely no idea what a question is, do it. That's what I do.
