My nephew doesn't like pokemon, he prefers the Call of Duty franchise;

he's 9.

I must really suck at this.

He's been exposed to the shitty newer generations. Should have gotten him to watch the originals instead. I don't think i'd have liked the newer ones when i was his age either.

I started off with the games; even though I still have most of the VHS's, I don't have a working VHS player.

He doesn't even try to watch the new pokemon series

I was watching pokemon since before i can remember, possibly the very first series when it came out, same as dragon ball z. My father got all the series on video when I was really young so I had always had them there.

I played the games since the black and white gameboy but grew out of the pokemon series when I was 10 or 11. From 4 - 9 the pokemon series is epic. From 6 - fucking forever dragonball z is awesome.

tl;dr You quickly outgrow the Pokemon series but Dragonball z will always kick ass.

I actually loved Pokemon more than anything when I was young, & I liked Dragon Ball Z but I got tired of it when I got older, but pokemon stayed with me because everybody I knew loved the games back then.

I actually have the VHS player but I had left it on the floor one day with it's internal exposed & left the room. My cat ended up ripping a couple parts out by the time I got back.

Funny thing is, I found the cat's mother pregnant without the father & my cat's fur is half black
