Really people? Really? You laugh at 9/11 jokes, you laugh at holocaust jokes, you laugh at racist jokes but a joke about a hypothetical scenario in which a kid with cancer is going to die and suddenly its too much? Either all jokes are fine or no jokes are fine, there isn't any mid ground so either never laugh at any offensive joke ever again or nut the fuck up and stop being a moany asshole. Also yes i do have family members who have cancer/have died of cancer and i still find this joke funny.

What if 9/11 and the holocaust were the WORST terrible things to happen, so the only way to desensitize it to make it not cause any more pain?

While having cancer is still on the threshold of being terrible AND being able to cure... So we want to help save this condition in the "There's still a chance" category...

I think it's because cancer is something many people can relate to because it has effected their lives personally, whereas it's unlikely for people to have a personal link with things like 9/11 or the Holocaust

there were more things in there than just businesses. my parents are at a restaurant in the top floor of one of the buildings for their anniversary a long time ago. out of the few thousand who died, you honestly don't think there were any children?
