We have sex for pleasure, we're smarter, we can drive cars, we can construct highly advanced things, we have emotions unlike most animals, or at least "more" emotions. Way more. We have a lot.

for most animals the survival needs are more important (finding food, avoiding predators etc) so they have le sexytime only when there is actually a chance to reproduce. And also the menstrual cycle of most other mammals is longer, human females can get preggo every month, for most mammals its only a couple of times a year. This might not be a proper explanation, but at the moment this seems logical

We still have sex for pleasure. The only competing animals in this case are dolphins. I think also pigs.
I don't see humans live in caves or in trees, hunting with their bare hands and eating things raw. I didn't say we weren't animals, but we're definitely not with savage and beast motives. Unless you're insane, which the average human isn't. We educate ourselves, cry because of things that are not the death of a family member. Animals don't really do that.

This is all because of our intelligence though. Because of that, we can build houses and cars. But becaus that we also become aware of things, that's why we have emotions.
I don't have evidence of this but I suspect. I mean if you look at a fly, the most primitive animal, he has no emotions whatsoever. If you look at a dog, who is a lot smarter, he can also have compassion and love and sadness. When you climb further up the tree, we have humans. Who are the smartest and have the most emotions to our disposal.
So because of our intelligence, we think we're better than beasts, but in reality, we just evolved further.
