Why the hell are Canada catching up anyway. Couldn't NASA just sort of give them the information they are looking for if they don't need to search anymore. I mean, there are no oceans on the internet and even then not between Canada and the US.
And before you ask. I'm English so this really has nothing to do with me in this argument. I just curious.

All space agencies share any information they gain. The Canadians just don't have as big of a space agency as the U.S. Sure, they can send more people into space to do research, but the fact of the matter remains is that the U.S. can funnel in billions upon billions of dollars to NASA for things like the Robonaut and building, literally hundreds of rovers and probes to search the solar system.
It's also a point of national pride in the sense that you can say, "See we have people going up into space conduction research too! We're contributing."
