My teacher said the sun will die in 5 million years. I immediately panicked and started thinking about death and the perishable nature of existence. How everything has to end, including my own experience of reality and that only emptiness awaited me. That everything we do has little to no reverberation on the grand scale of even the planet we inhabit, let alone the infinite Universe.
Turns out I misheard her and it was actually 5 billion years. I calmed down and put all my previous thoughts aside and continued to doodle in my notebook.

I basically realized this once my parents divorced.

I've struggled with depression wince the first grade.

There have been a few parent-teacher conferences just on how worried my teachers were about me.

Then I developed a sense of humor to hide it.
