This cat is being stabbed in the back by his owner.

it's Latin for
"and you Brutus" which is what Julius Caesar said to Brutus when he stabbed him in the battletoads

Et tu translates roughly into "and you" in both latin and french, but in this particular case it's latin.

In the play Julius Caesar, Caesar was betrayed by his best friend ( Brutus) and a bunch of other guys. When Brutus stabs Caesar, he says "ET TU, BRUTE?" and he gets stabbed a bunch more times.

I think the meaning is supposed to be: "Also you?", or "even you?". As Caesar is surprised and disappointed that even his close friend betrays him.
