I hate Gamestop so much. My brother and my dad went through my closet while I was at work one day, then took all the games they found and sold them at Gamestop. When I got home, they were all proud of themselves for having 'cleaned up.'

They sold my ******* Pokemon Yellow, Red, and Blue, man... I don't even give a **** about the others in comparison... then they tried to justify it when I got pissed off by showing me they'd used the money from my games to buy Dead Rising, which is one of the ********* games I've ever played.

I work for GameStop and I honestly don't understand what people's problem with it is. GameStop guarantees $30 tic on new games for the first month after they come out. Then as the price goes down and the amount of the game on hand goes up the trade in value of the game goes down. If you all knew how many games were sitting in the back room that will never be sold perhaps you wouldn't complain about one of the only place that is willing to buy your ****** CoD games over and over. My store has 100+ copies of MW3 that will never sell. Be happy that there is a place that will actually give you money for something you don't want, be happy that there is a place that keeps the game makers from charging $70-$80 for a new game.

Maybe if you didn't buy the 100 copies for $3 each and then try and sell them for 5 bucks less than a new copy, you wouldn't have so many copies in the back...

we don't buy them for $3 each. We give $3 for the crappy games that we have hundreds of. Good games that actually sell we give ~$20 or so for. You still get 1/3 the value for a game like Skyrim which is 2 years old and still sells for ~$45 a copy. Trade in value is c based on the number of copies ********* bought of a game, how well that game was rated and how many copies gamestop has on had. When GameStop starts getting enough of one game to stock each of their stores with $30 copies and no running out of stock in sight then they stop giving decent money for the game and then 40 year old mothers start whining about how they arn't getting nearly as much as they paid for it; of course you're not getting what you paid for it, damn, you don't buy a car and drive it for a year and trade it back in for 75%, you're lucky if the car dealer gives you 30% after financing and interest.

why do you defend this faggotry with such passion?
i agree on the point that you shouldn't pay out 80% of a game that isn't popular, But they way things are now to be given merely 10% of it's original worth is ******* humiliating and still you put them up a few dollars below retail price. so i don't understand your logic of trying to squezee out every ******* dollar from people selling used games at original pricing.

I defend it because without it the game publishers would be raping our wallets with $80 price tags, they would use super DRM that disallows game sharing, and would not be able to get any return on the games I no longer play. And GameStop does not give only 10% and then price it up to a few dollars below retail. In the first month after a game is published they give roughly 33%-50%. Take God Of War: Accension for example. Right now until April 11th GameStop will give you a guarantee $30 for it (50%) and will resell it at $49.49 ($10 less than new). Lets say GoW:A does OK for a year and this time next year it's on the wall for $30, that mean GameStop will give you $10 for it in trade but they've noticed a trend in lots of people selling it, then they start taking less, and in order to move copies so they don't get stuck with them the lower the price. That's how it works. Ultimately GameStop give 1/3 of the price they sell the game for.

i live in sweden and i can say gamestop ******* sucks man i bought halo 3 and completed it and played some multiplayer in about a week, It was in Pristine condition when i turned it in to gamestop. They offered me 150 crowns i bought it for 600. so basicly for people not from sweden 600 crowns is roughly 89 $. so i bought it a couple of days after launch and after a week they offred to buy it for 67 $ less than i bought it for. so moral of the story **** gamestop
