I don't think you could print a living human. mabye a hard plastic human, but not a biological human

Since a full human is a just huge and lot more complicated than a single organ, it should be possible as soon as they have found out how to supply all cells with blood/oxygen/everything else a cell needs to live. (there are a few theories and experiments, but all still in lab-phase) THAT is the main problem and why they only have small bits of skin and organ parts so far.

But something like a car would need an industrial printer, not home printer. Idea is that in the future you will not buy things in the shop. You will go online, find a design you like, download it and pay people who created it a small commision.
Then go to a printing factory and pay them to print it for you.
Since it would be on demand, it would drastically lower the prices (no waste, no middle men, no transport) and money would go to people who actually design and make it instead of corporate assholes.

First off, I hate the big bang theory. Seriously, the phrase "Bazinga" makes me want to murder people.
Second, that printer can print 6 inch objects, I was talking about one that would print PROPER objects, not little toys. I'm talking about things like steering wheels and building models, not a toy car for your son. And yes, a real car would require an industrial printer, you're right on that but I wasn't talking about printing a car.

Besides, if you have this kind of hobby, 5 grand isn't much. 8 grand is the minimum you should pay for a decent manual mill.

Thats not the actual slogan, that commerical is to show how downloading movies off the internet is like stealing, it goes through several scenes where is says stuff like "you wouldnt steal a car" or " you wouldnt steal a tv" all in the same font with same backround. Photoshopping the whole thing together to actually look like they used it wouldnt be that hard at all.
