i dont think many parents just want their children to move out the house

Probably yes and no. IF I had to take care of a whining, bratty, ugly, smaller version of me for 18-20 years I'd want to be left alone with my girl and never see me ever again, but then again I love me, and I'll love my kids when I have them, because they were once me and are still me

Yes they do. Once they know their kids are capable of taking care of themselves, the parents want their own damn space.

sure, every parent in the world has this mindset
User avatar #87 to #58 - vatra (03/10/2013) [-]
Of course not, but look at it this way, if you had to do everything for a kid for 18 or so years, you would want your own space again.

well, I'm part latino so i'm really raised a whole other way.

That's because you don't have kids.

na really i think its more of an american/english thing to have parents who are fed up with their children & vice versa
User avatar #71 to #59 - mahnamesjakers (03/10/2013) [-]
I can put up with a lot of American stereotypes and even play along with them but that one just isn't even close to being true. I know so many people who finished college and stayed with their parents for years because their parents either didn't want them to go or they didn't care if they did.

not as many as those who rush to move out the house or get kicked out by their parents
User avatar #81 to #80 - mahnamesjakers (03/10/2013) [-]
You must know some dickhead people because I don't know any parents that would kick out their own children just for the fact that they're 18.

not kick out, more like pressured to move out.. but yeah i do know dickheads who get kicked out the house at 16 too

Its global dude.. All parents want their kids out so they can start having sex on the kitchen table again.
