Plus people don't see time as it should be seen. there too ingrain in the fact that they see it as a straight line and its not its exactly how the 3rd diminsesion is it can (theoreticly) be moved around through ("in") as one wish's (hopefuly soon for us mortals) and is not a staight line. 1 thing doesnt technicly have to start to happen. Like if a mother loves her son and she gives him a note book with the words "I will love you forever, Love Mom" and that son holds on to it and for one reason or another travels back in time and meets his mother and somehow dies soon after in the relative past and he tells her he is her son and she finds the notebook and holds on to it for sentimental value.......and one day gives it to her son..... Who actualy wrote that note? you cant think of it as pictured on top. You have to picture it more as on bottom (its very hard to put into words or illistations. Im probably babling on now does any of this make sense at all? fuck it....half life 3 confirmed..........

A-ha i thought of a way! or at least a way to get part of the point accross better....We have been raised to think that this is new. but who's to say that this hasnt happend before and its part of a loop (paradox loop in this case) we arn't actualy witnessing a start as we believe but actualy just a repeat that we cant concieve of being 3rd dimensionl creatures. No, here's how it works. If it's you from a stable time loop (e.g. you will experience each side of it at some point in time), it's masturbation. If it's a clone or from an alternate or deleted timeline, it's incest.
